Agilent 7000 Series ICP-MS

Inductively Coupled - Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) is the industry standard for heavy metals lab testing in cannabis. With superior sensitivity and selectivity, ICP-MS cannabis testing is the method of choice to detect metals at PPM and PPB levels in the challenging cannabis matrix.

AIM's recommendation will vary depending on the particular analyte and action-limit requirements given by the regulating body in your state or country. Our inventory includes Agilent 7500, 7700, 7800 and Perkin Elmer DRC and Nexion systems, although others are also available. Ask us about installation and training for both the hardware and software options.

Unlike other analyses, cannabis metals testing is usually not bottlenecked by the instrument’s fast runtime, but rather by the microwave digester capacity. Along with other lab accessories, AIM can assist you in finding the right microwave digester for your needs.

  • A common ICP-MS configuration for cannabis heavy metals is:
  • ICP-MS
  • Autosampler
  • Chiller
  • Foreline Vacuum Pump
